Over 1000 Protest Church Where Pastor Said He Was Glad ’50 Pedophiles’ Died in Orlando Terror Attack

Huge Protest Sunday After Christian Pastor Said Pulse Massacre Was ‘Great’ and ‘Helps Society’

Sunday morning over 1000 people protested at the North Sacramento, California’s Verity Baptist Church in response to Pastor Roger Jimenez’s vile comments following the Orlando terror attack in which 49 people, targeted for being LGBT, were slaughtered in a three-hour long massacre.

Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?,” Pastor Jimenez had said to his congregation hours after the hate crime mass shooting at Pulse, one week ago. “I think that’s great. I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job – because these people are predators. They are abusers,” Jimenez said.

KCRA reports more than 1000 showed up to protest. Police had to perform crowd control services and Verity Baptist Church officials refused to to most inside.

“If they will not stand with us against the homos, then they will not stand with us against anything,” Pastor Jimenez told his members Sunday. “You guys need to man up, you need to act like men,” he added.

The protest rally was organized via a Facebook event.
