Orlando Terror Mass Shooting: City Begins to Release Names of Victims

The Names of the Victims of the Deadliest Terror Attack Since 9/11 Are Beginning to Be Released

Less than 24 hours after a terrorist targeted, shot, and killed 50 people and injured another 53 at a gay nightclub, the City of Orlando is beginning to release the list of names of the victims. The city is working to notify next of kin before making the names public.

Eight people have now been named as deceased. Here are their names and ages:

Edward Sotomayor Jr., 34 years old

Stanley Almodovar III, 23 years old

Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, 20 years old

Juan Ramon Guerrero, 22 years old

Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera, 36 years old

Peter O. Gonzalez-Cruz, 22 years old

Luis S. Vielma, 22 years old

Kimberly Morris, 37 years old 

Romper reports the first person on the City of Orlando’s list was 34-year old Edward Sotomayor, Jr. who was “a manager at a large gay travel agency.” A Sarasota gay bar, Barrel 87, posted this photo of Sotomayor:
