Trump Calls Clinton Speech ‘Phony Hit Job’
Donald Trump declared Hillary Clinton “guilty as hell” over her State Department emails and insisted to his raucous San Jose, California audience she must go to jail.
“Remember I said I was a counter-puncher?” Trump asked his supporters. “After what she said about me today in her phony speech — that was a phony speech, that was a Donald Trump hit job — I will say this, Hillary Clinton has to go to jail. She’s guilty as hell.”
Clinton Thursday delivered a very well received foreign policy speech setting up the case for why Trump would be not only bad for America, but dangerous.
Clinton portrayed Trump as unfit for the presidency, and called him “temperamentally unfit,” someone with a “very thin skin,” and a “loose cannon,” while labeling his policies as “incoherent rants, personal attacks and outright lies.”Â
Most reputable reports, including those here, here, and here, disagree with Trump’s assessment, saying Clinton did not break the law and will not be indicted.Â
