Donald Trump Explains Why He Is ‘The Least Racist Person That You’ve Ever Encountered’

GOP Presumptive Nominee for President Says He Doesn’t Think People Believe He’s a Racist

Donald Trump says he is the “least racist” person you’ve ever met.

The presumptive GOP nominee for president made that claim today in an interview with Washington Post Senior Editor Marc Fisher.

Fisher explains that on his way to interview the billionaire businessman, he asked his cab driver about the presidential candidates. The driver said he was thinking of voting for Trump but heard he’s a racist and said if Trump is a racist he would not vote for him. Fisher relayed the tale to Trump.

“Well, I am not a racist, in fact, I am the least racist person that you’ve ever encountered,” Trump assured Fisher. “I’ll give you an example,” he said. “It’s funny, I just got this, it was just sent to me by Don King,” Trump continued, speaking of the famous boxing promoter.

“Now, Don knows more about race than anybody,” Trump exclaimed. “You know, Don endorsed me,” Trump said, showing Fisher a full-page endorsement in the weekly Cleveland paper King owns. “Now, Don King knows racism probably better than anybody. He’s not endorsing a racist, okay?”

Trump went on to say he’s “not concerned” if people think he’s a racist, “because I don’t think people believe it. And it’s just something that — who was this taxicab, was he African-American?”
