McDonnell’s Bribery Conviction Overturned in Unanimous Decision
The U.S. Supreme Court has just overturned the federal bribery conviction of former governor Bob McDonnell. The Virginia Republican and his wife had accepted a stream of gifts, loans, and other benefits totaling $177,000 from a Virginia businessman.
