Breaking: Joe Biden Says Bernie Sanders Tells Him He Will Endorse Hillary Clinton

Vice President Joe Biden says that Senator Bernie Sanders say he will endorse Hillary Clinton. 

“I’ve talked to Bernie. Bernie is going to endorse her,” Biden told NPR’s Rachel Martin in an interview Thursday afternoon.

It’s unclear what the context of the quote is, or the timing. Apparently the interview will air Sunday.

The Hill reports that “Michael Briggs, a Sanders spokesman, would not confirm or deny the vice president’s assertion.”

“We are in the process of talking” with the Clinton campaign, he said, and noted that the candidates met earlier this month to talk about next steps.
