Breaking: Elizabeth Warren Expected to Endorse Hillary Clinton ‘Soon,’ Reuters Reports

Reuters Reports a Warren Endorsement Is ‘Imminent’

Senator Elizabeth Warren is about to endorse Hillary Clinton for President “soon,” according to a just published report from Reuters. Warren’s name is among the most popular as a potential vice presidential running mate. The international news agency, citing “several sources close to Warren” adds that the Massachusetts Democratic Senator is “not currently interested in serving” as Clinton’s vice president but “has not ruled it out.”

A Clinton-Warren ticket is believed to be a way to unify the party, with the immensely popular Warren representing the more progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

Many have said Warren has been positioning herself for consideration as a VP given her fierce and hard-hitting attacks on Donald Trump, often on social media. A good vice presidential running mate is often turned to to make those types of attacks when it’s seemingly inappropriate for the top tier of the ticket to do so.

Advisers to Warren, a fiery critic of Wall Street and a popular figure among progressive Democrats, have been in close contact with Clinton’s campaign team and the conversations have increased in frequency in recent weeks, the sources said,” according to Reuters.

Warren is the only woman Democrat in the Senate to have not endorsed Clinton. Having stayed neutral adds to her likability as a VP candidate.

Over the weekend Warren delivered a rousing take down of Donald Trump at the annual Massachusetts Democratic convention.
