#NoBillNoBreak: Democrats Have Literally Taken Over Congress to Demand a Gun Control Vote
There Is a Mini-Revolution Going on in Congress Right Now – Here’s How You Can Participate
House Democrats led by civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis Wednesday morning began a sit-in on the actual House Floor and are refusing to leave until Speaker of the House Paul Ryan allows a vote on gun control. It began with a handful of Congressmen, then it became two dozen, and now it’s well over 50 Democratic lawmakers who are literally occupying Congress to demand action on gun reform legislation. It’s been nearly four hours and their numbers are growing.
#NoBillNoBreak, the rallying cry to demand a vote on gun control before the House breaks for its scheduled recess at the end of this week, is the top trending item on Twitter right now.

Because the Republicans control the House, and therefore everything under its roof, they have banned C-SPAN from using its cameras to broadcast this mini-revolution. Democratic Congressmen, like Rep. Scott Peters of South Dakota, have been broadcasting from their phones via Periscope, and C-SPAN is broadcasting that feed on live TV.Â
Here’s a new feed you should be able to use watch the activities.

Rep. Mark Takano is using Facebook Live to stream the event as well:

C-SPAN on cable TV and online is doing its best to carry the feed from wherever they can get it.
This has never happened before, but thanks to social media, more people than ever are watching and participating, live.
Here’s how you can see what’s going on and voice your support for the Democrats’ act of civil disobedience in support of gun control.

You can also call and tweet your Congressman and Senator and demand gun control legislation. Here’s a simple easy-to-use list.
Rep. Tammy Duckworth, ordinarily in a wheelchair, delivered a speech then came out of her wheelchair and she too is sitting on the floor.
