Watch: Obama Mocks Republicans for Hating Their Choices of Presidential Candidates
“You may not like steak or fish, but that’s your choice…”
President Barack Obama delivered a hilarious and at times rapier-sharp performance at his final White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night. At one point, alluding to the fact that both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have terrible favorability ratings, he mocked Republicans for hating their choices of presidential candidates.
After roasting Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, the President noted that “on the Republican side, things are a little more – how should we say this – a little ‘more loose.’ Just look at the confusion over the invitations to tonight’s dinner,” Pres. Obama quipped.
“Guests were asked to check whether they wanted steak or fish, but instead, a whole bunch of you wrote in ‘Paul Ryan.’ That’s not an option, people. Steak or fish.”
