Charlotte Deli Roasts North Carolina Governor With Specials Like the ‘Burn in Hell Pat McCrory’

Local North Carolina Deli Gets Political

Charlotte residents out to grab some lunch may want to head over to the Common Market to order a “Burn in Hell Pat McCrory.” The local North Carolina deli is making a name for itself after offering up the cracked pepper turkey, smoked Gruyere, bacon, housemade super spicy mustard, onions, jalapeno, red peppers, pickles and spinach sandwich.

Not in the mood for turkey?

How about a “Pat McCrory Hates Teachers” wrap, stuffed with fresh avocado, tofu, spinach, tomato, onions, sprouts, sriracha, red peppers and cabbage?

Common Market posts their specials on their Facebook page, and today even invited the Republican governor in:

If those weren’t your style, perhaps you should have stopped by on Tuesday for a “McCrory is a national embarrASSment.”

WNCN notes the “Charlotte’s Plaza-Midwood neighborhood has never been shy when it comes to being political,” and “it’s rumored that there are stickers depicting Governor Pat McCrory’s head in the ‘target zone’ on the urinals inside the men’s room at one of the neighborhood’s most popular bars.”

Regardless of your taste in food or politics, for a local deli, Common Market actually has one of the best Facebook pages around – take a look.
