Breaking: Donald Trump Has Just Cinched the Number of Delegates to Be the GOP Nominee for President

Billionaire Businessman Has Few if Any Roadblocks Left to the Nomination

Donald Trump has just been awarded enough delegates to officially become the Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States.

The “magic number” is 1237, Trump now has 1238, according to the Associated Press. “With 303 delegates at stake in five state primaries on June 7, Trump will easily pad his total, avoiding a contested convention in Cleveland in July.”

“Trump was put over the top,” the Associated Press reports, “by a small number of the party’s unbound delegates who told the AP they would support him at the convention. Among them is Oklahoma GOP chairwoman Pam Pollard.”

“I think he has touched a part of our electorate that doesn’t like where our country is,” Pollard said. “I have no problem supporting Mr. Trump.”

Colorado Republican Party Chairman Steve House, an unbound delegate, threw his weigh behind Trump also.

“Leadership is leadership,” House told the AP. “If he can surround himself with the political talent, I think he will be fine.”

Fox News was quick to post this tweet:

The billionaire businessman still must technically be awarded the nomination at the Republican Party national convention.
