Says Clinton and Sanders Are on the ‘Soviet Ticket’
After ESPN fired him for his disgusting, transphobic comments on Facebook and learning that even Fox News won’t hire him, former baseball great Curt Schilling has been free to spread his unique brand of ignorance, hate, homophobia and transphobia, and political incorrectness across social media.
Now, one month later and desperate for an audience, Schilling has written on his personal blog, “Why I will vote for Donald Trump,” and it’s every bit the non-introspective conservative echo chamber mélange you would expect.
What are Schilling’s reasons?
Among them, “I trust him,” I’ve never, even for a second, heard his children speak with anything but respect, courtesy, integrity and confidence,” and this:
“While I don’t agree with him there are two incredibly important things he possesses that neither candidate on the Soviet ticket do. He loves this country. You can laugh, you can mock, but you also are full of crap if the current administration has ever given you the confidence that they love this nation above all else.”
Schilling also takes a long hard whack at the “liberal media,” insisting, “Mr Trump doesn’t want to ‘ban all muslims’ from entering the nation.”
Apparently, “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” the first setence in Trump’s December 7 press release, which he read in full on-air, was missed by the former ESPN analyst.
Then, after decrying “the massive amount of misinformation” the liberal media publishes, he calls Hillary Clinton a “felon,” and “one of the most evil, despicable corrupt lying phonies ever to walk this earth,” while calling Bernie Sanders a “socialist.”
For those of you left saying, “Who the heck cares what Curt Schilling thinks?,” he’s like you to know he’s OK with that.
