Ted Cruz Stump Speech Now Includes Anti-Trans HB2 Bathroom ‘Joke’ About Trump Dressing Up As Hillary

North Carolina HB2 Leads Ted Cruz To Attack Transgender People and Civil Rights

Senator Ted Cruz has added a new section to his stump speech: mocking transgender people by attacking rivals Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton‘s positions opposing North Carolina’s anti-LGBT law HB2.

“So let me make things real simple, even if Donald Trump dresses up as Hillary Clinton, he shouldn’t be using the girl’s restroom,” the Texas Tea Party Senator quipped on Saturday in Lebanon, Indiana. Earlier this week Cruz slammed Trump for opposing HB2, and equated transgender women with “grown men pretending to be women.” He also released a disgusting transphobic ad.

On Sunday, Cruz repeated the “joke,” saying, “If Donald Trump dresses up as Hillary Clinton, he still can’t go to the girl’s bathroom.”

Buzzfeed notes Sen. Cruz laughed and “apologized to the audience for giving them a mental image of ‘Donald in a bright blue pantsuit.'”

Earlier this week Cruz staff kicked a teenaged boy out of a rally in Maryland, because he was transgender.
