Sarah Palin Responds to ESPN’s Firing of Curt Schilling for Transphobic Posts
Former GOP Vice Presidential Candidate and Former and Half-Term Governor Shares Her Thoughts on ESPN’s Handling of the Controversy
Wednesday evening ESPN fired former baseball great Curt Schilling, who had worked for the sports media giant as a baseball analyst. Schilling had shared a vile, offensive, and grievously transphobic meme on Facebook, and commented on it in language not upholding the basic standards of his employer.
Thursday afternoon, Donald Trump endorser and surrogate Sarah Palin – the former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, former (and half-term) Governor of Alaska, former chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, former Mayor of Wasilla, former “Miss Congeniality,†former sportscaster, former head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, former star of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,†and twice-former Fox News contributor – weighed in, via Facebook.
Linking to a Hollywood Reporter article on Schilling’s termination, Palin posted this ignorant cartoon, and wrote: “ESPN continues to screw up.”

Ironically, perhaps, Thursday morning, Sarah Palin’s “boss,” Donald Trump, came out in support of transgender people’s right to use public restrooms that conform with their gender identity.
