Donald Trump: ‘I’m the One That’s Being Discriminated Against’ (Video)

GOP Frontrunner Says Republican Party May Be Acting ‘Illegally’

Donald Trump is now accusing the Republican Party of discriminating against him. The 69-year old, white, Presbyterian billionaire was responding to a question on Sunday’s “Face the Nation” on CBS, if he will support the GOP nominee even if it’s not him.

“I will tell you when we meet at the convention. We’ll see how we’re treated. I want to see how we’re treated. I want to see how we’re treated. Look, I signed a pledge. They wanted me to sign the pledge. And I’m the one that’s being discriminated against,” Trump said. He did not explain how that could be considered discrimination.

Trump last year had signed a pledge to support whomever the GOP nominee becomes. He even held a widely-attended press conference showing the signed pledge. He reneged on that pledge this past week.

But he told host John Dickerson, “I want to support the party” but refused to “comment too much on it right now,” CBS News reports.

Trump explained that to him, “discrimination” includes having won the Louisiana GOP primary but being awarded less delegates as Ted Cruz. He actually was awarded the same number of delegates as Sen. Cruz, 18, leaving ten delegates up for grabs at the convention.

“When I go in and win the state of Louisiana and I get less delegates, that’s not the way the system’s supposed to work,” Trump said, saying that’s “not America,” and suggesting, “it could be illegal, if you want to know the truth.” Later, he said, “there’s a real legal consequence to winning a state and not getting as many delegates. That’s nonsense.”
