‘Maybe a $2 Bill’: Ben Carson Thinks Harriet Tubman Isn’t Worthy of the $20 Bill (Video)

Failed GOP Presidential Candidate Literally Discounts Former Slave and Civil Rights Activist’s Worth and Achievements

The man who thinks racism “is mostly with the progressive movement” today said he thinks Harriet Tubman should be relegated to the $2 bill, not the $20 bill. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Wednesday afternoon announced that the former slave, Civil War nurse, Union spy, abolitionist, and civil rights activist would replace the late President Andrew Jackson as the face of the $20 bill.

Carson disagrees, but perhaps it’s because he has said Obamacare “is slavery.”

“I think Andrew Jackson was a tremendous secretary — I mean a tremendous president,” told Fox News Business. “I mean, Andrew Jackson was the last president who actually balanced the federal budget, where we had no national debt,” Politico reports.

“And here he gets kicked off the $20 bill,” host Neil Cavuto said.

“Right, in honor of that we kick him off of the money,” Carson said.

“Are you anti-Harriet Tubman?” Cavuto prodded.

“I love Harriet Tubman. I love what she did, but we can find another way to honor her. Maybe a $2 bill,” Carson said.

Carson’s comments likely won’t go over well with his Tea Party base. Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, who is the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, is the face of the $2 bill.
