‘Can You Hear Us Now, Pat?’: Awesome ‘Air Horn Orchestra’ Actually HB2 Protest At Governor’s Mansion
Sounds So Horrible It’s Wonderful
Equality advocates opposed to Gov. Pat McCrory‘s anti-LGBT law HB2 made their loudly criticism known Wednesday evening by protesting with compressed air horns in front of the governor’s mansion. Billed as an “Air Horn Orchestra” on Facebook, the instructions say, “Our shows will be weekly. There will be no rehearsal. And you must bring your own instrument.”

Wearing “Can you hear us now?” tee shirts and some even using an air horn in each hand, the protestors let loose, as these videos and photos show:

Organizers did post this instructional video:

And, protestors will be back next week:

UPDATE:
The protests appear to be organized by Tina and Grayson Haver Currin, and they appear to be thoroughly enjoying their work! They’ve started a group called NC Needs You, asking artists to actually not cancel shows but use them “in order to generate the social and financial capital necessary to win in November and beyond.”
