Watch Live: Georgia Governor Holds Press Conference – Anti-Gay ‘Religious Freedom’ Bill May Be Topic

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal Just Announced a 10 AM Press Conference – Will His Decision on Anti-LGBT Bill Be the Topic?

After a week in which dozens of high profile multi-national corporations urged Gov. Nathan Deal to veto a highly-contentious anti-gay “religious freedom” bill, threatening possible devastation to Georgia’s $1.7 billion film and TV industry, the GOP Governor has just announced a press conference for 10 AM EDT. Deal has until May 3 to sign or veto the anti-LGBT legislation, HB 757. But to be clear, the topic is unknown, so it may or may not be HB 757.

GeorgiaPol, a politics blog, reports that “the expectation is that guidance will be given on RFRA, and possibly the announcement of a veto could be forthcoming.”

You can watch the Governor’s press conference live. Visit the Governor’s website, click on State Capitol Live, then Upcoming Events and Watch Now at 10:00 AM EDT.
