Donald Trump’s Son Gives Interview To Known White Supremacist Radio Host

Trump Campaign Playing Footsie With White Supremacy – and With Fire

If anyone thinks Donald Trump‘s earpiece malfunctioned – as he claimed – during his ABC News interview Sunday, causing him to repeat word-for-word yet refuse to disavow the KKK, think again. That was a calculated dog whistle to white supremacists that he’s on their side, one he thought would be easily excused by his previous and post disavowals of the KKK.

The Trump campaign is playing footsie white white supremacy, which is just another example proving Trump is following a fascist blueprint to win the White House.

Need more proof?

The Trump for President campaign credentialed a well-known white supremacist “journalist,” and even granted him a one-on-one interview with Trump’s son, Donald Trump, Jr. (photo, left).

“I attended a Donald Trump rally in Memphis on Saturday night as a fully credentialed member of the media and enjoyed the unique experience of being able to air a live broadcast of The Political Cesspool Radio Program from inside the press pen while the event was in full swing,” James Edwards posted to The Political Cesspool website Monday.

“Next Saturday’s show [March 5] will feature a previously taped 20-minute interview with Donald Trump, Jr.,” he adds.

Describing Edwards as “a prominent white supremacist who broadcasts what has been dubbed as ‘the primary radio nexus of hate in America,'” Reuters, which first reported the news, also calls him “an avowed white nationalist who is pro-slavery and whose previous guests include the former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke as well as a raft of Holocaust deniers and neo-Nazis.”

Reuters notes Edwards’ radio show is “sponsored by the Council of Conservative Citizens, the white supremacist website that was claimed as an inspiration by Dylann Roof, the suspected mass shooter accused of murdering nine black worshippers at the Mother Emanuel church in Charleston last June. Edwards was honored at the Council of Conservative Citizens’ annual conference in 2007.” It adds Edwards “has said that ‘slavery is the greatest thing that ever happened to’ African Americans.”

The Huffington Post adds that “Edwards said he and his co-hosts have attended three different Trump rallies in recent months: One in Illinois, one in Arkansas, and the rally in Memphis. With press credentials from Trump, the white supremacists feel ‘every bit as legit’ as members of the traditional media, he added.”

“A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not respond to questions late Tuesday about how Edwards was credentialed, or why Donald Trump Jr. gave an interview to a white supremacist talk show.”

While the contents of the interview won’t be known until it airs, the fact is that Trump’s son, a top surrogate for his father’s campaign, is lending legitimacy to white supremacy by granting Edwards an interview.

Trump is being described as America’s version of European right-wing populist political leaders, and over the weekend France’s top fascist, Jean-Marie Le Pen endorsed Trump for president.
