VIDEO: Trump BFF ‘Morning Joe’ Scarborough (Finally) Dumps Trump: KKK Comments ‘Disqualifying’
If Donald Trump Has Lost MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, Is Trump Starting to Finally Lose?
As the world now know, Sunday morning Donald Trump refused to denounce or disavow the KKK and David Duke, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper he doesn’t know anything about white supremacy, the hate group, or the former Southern politician and Grand Wizard.
Monday morning, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, a Republican who recently toyed with the idea of becoming Trump’s VP, denounced and disavowed Trump, calling the GOP frontrunner’s comments “disqualifying.”
“I don’t know anything about David Duke,” Trump had told Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday.
“I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with ‘white supremacy’ or ‘white supremacists,'” he claimed. “I know nothing about white supremacists.”
The GOP frontrunner widely expected to become the Republican nominee for President defended his refusal to even denounce white supremacists by saying, “You wouldn’t want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about?”
“I have to look.”
After showing the clip of Trump’s comments, a saddened Scarborough was forced to concede the clip as “disqualifying right there.”
“It’s breathtaking. That is disqualifying right there. To say you don’t know about the Ku Klux Klan? You don’t know about David Duke? And the most stunning thing is … this isn’t buying him a single vote.”
“I mean is he really so stupid that he thinks Southerners aren’t offended by the Ku Klux Klan and David Duke? Is he really so ignorant of Southern voters that he thinks this is the way to their heart — to go neutral, to play Switzerland when you’re talking about the Klan?” Scarborough asked. “And to say he doesn’t know enough information about the Klan to condemn them — exactly what does Donald Trump expect to learn in the next 24 hours about the Klan,†Scarborough asked.
Trump Monday blamed it all on CNN and their “lousy earpiece,” saying he couldn’t hear Tapper, which led one observer to tweet:
Trump’s earpiece was so bad he repeated every word of @JakeTapper’s question (“David Duke†“white supremacistsâ€): https://t.co/SPbzF9ysRD
