Former KKK Grand Wizard Endorses Trump Just Two Days Before Christie Does
The NY Daily News is taking another stand against extremists, blasting Chris Christie for his hypocritical endorsement of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. On Saturday’s front page, the New York City tabloid pulls no punches, hitting the NJ governor as the “Man with a Klan,” referring to white supremacist and former KKK leaner David Duke‘s endorsement of Trump.
The Daily News cover story makes its case: “If Donald Trump is good enough for a grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, well he’s good enough for the governor of New Jersey.”
“Days after the Klan’s former leader David Duke urged his followers to back the real estate mogul, Chris Christie jumped on the hate wagon,” the paper says.
Indeed, as Politico reported, “David Duke, a white nationalist and former Klu Klux Klan grand wizard, told his audience Wednesday that voting for anyone besides Donald Trump ‘is really treason to your heritage.'”
