NYC Tabloid Mocks ‘Flailing’ Bush – ‘The Safety Was Off’
The New York Daily News has a strong history of attacking politicians who ignore America’s gun crisis – just last month it labeled GOP obstructionists who oppose President Barack Obama’s executive orders on gun control as “Pro-Death.”
Today’s Daily News cover continues that tradition, labeling Jeb Bush a “dolt” for his Tuesday night tweet of a gun with the caption, “America.”
Twitter totally destroyed the former Florida governor, and the Daily News joined in.
“A flailing Jeb Bush brought out the big gun Tuesday to fire up his sinking presidential campaign — and it wasn’t his brother,” the cover story begins. “It appeared Bush had yet to learn the basics of firearm ownership — the safety was off in the photo relentlessly mocked on social media.”
