Democratic Candidate Will Make Cameo Appearance Alongside Comedy Icon
At one point during the Democratic town hall Wednesday night, this happened:
Back in October after comedy legend Larry David had played Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live, Sanders said the comedian “does better than I do.”
SNL viewers Saturday will have the chance to find out, as Larry David will be hosting this week’s show, and Bernie Sanders will make a cameo appearance.
Noting that Larry David “has played the Vermont senator with uncanny precision in multiple skits this season — even winning praise from Sanders,” The Washington Post today broke the news that “Sanders is planning a trip Saturday to New York, where he is likely to make an appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ according to a source with direct knowledge of plans.”
Hillary Clinton delivered a well-received performance on SNL in October, playing “Val” the bartender to Kate McKinnon’s version of Clinton:
