Breaking: FBI Says It Has Surrounded Oregon Occupiers

The FBI has surrounded the remaining occupiers at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Details – updating.

The FBI states it has surrounded the militants at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

“At approximately 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, one of the occupiers rode an ATV outside the barricades established by the militia at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. FBI agents attempted to approach the driver, and he returned to the encampment at the refuge at a high rate of speed,” the statement says.

“At this time, the FBI has moved to contain the remaining occupiers by placing agents at barricades both immediately ahead of and behind the area where the occupiers are camping. Negotiations between the occupiers and the FBI continue. No shots have been fired.”

Currently there is a live audio feed that reportedly is of the remaining occupiers speaking with Nevada state Rep. Michele Fiore, who is well-known to the occupiers and the Bundy family. We caution that this audio has not been verified. We also caution there may be violence and/or profanity from this audio.

Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) reports “Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore called in to the militants from the Portland airport. She said she would be willing to travel to Burns to help negotiate an end to the standoff.”

In the audio a person identifying themselves as Fiore told the others to tell the FBI that “an elected official” is coming there to negotiate.

UPDATE I: 10:11 PM EST –
One person, who sounds like David Fry, says he thinks the black helicopters are coming to kill them.

They also say Franklin Graham is calling them.

Another voice says the FBI is holding them hostage, and they don’t understand why the FBI won’t make any concessions.

Cliven Bundy is tweeting:

UPDATE II: 10:16 PM EST –

One of the occupiers insists the FBI can drop the charges. Another insists they do it all the time “for people worse than we are.” He yells, “Do they want to kill us all?”

UPDATE III: 10:25 PM EST –
“A friend of occupier David Fry was streaming on YouTube through an open phone line with the occupiers as authorities made what appeared to be a final push to end the 40-day old occupation,” the Oregonian reports. “Besides David Fry, 27, of Ohio, the encampment includes Jeff Banta of Elko, Nevada, and Sean and Sandy Anderson of Riggins, Idaho.”
