DEVELOPING: Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump Winners Of New Hampshire Primary

As polls close and with many still in line waiting to vote, winners announced.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders is the projected winner with 51 percent against 40 percent for Hillary Clinton, accoding to MSNBC.

For Republicans, Donald Trump is the projected winner, with no clear candidate yet in second place.

UPDATE I: 8:11 PM –

“Nine months ago, if you told somebody that we would win the New Hampshire primary, they would not have believed you. Not at all. Too bold, they would have said. Not enough money to compete against the billionaires,” Bernie Sanders said in a statement.

The Clinton campaign sent out a statement embargoed until the results were called, acknowledging their defeat tonight.

“Whereas the electorates in Iowa and New Hampshire are largely rural/suburban and predominantly white, the March states better reflect the true diversity of the Democratic Party and the nation,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook wrote, the Washington Post reports.

UPDATE II: 8:26 PM –

With 13.7% reporting, Politico says Bernie Sanders has 56.3% o the vote, Hillary Clinton 41.6%.

For the GOP, in second place currently is John Kasich, with 15.9%, followed by Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Chris Christie.

MSNBC reports 53% of women on the Democratic side voted for Sanders, according to current exit polls. Also, 85% of voters under 30 chose Sanders. 

UPDATE III: 8:38 PM –
The New York Times offers scathing analysis for Hillary Clinton:
“Bernie Sanders Wins Every Demographic Group“

Sanders “carried majorities of both men and women. He won among those with and without college degrees. He won among gun owners and non-gun owners. He beat Mrs. Clinton among previous primary voters and those participating for the first time. And he ran ahead among both moderates and liberals.”

With 19% of precincts reporting, Politico reports Sanders widens his lead:

58.1% Sanders
39.9% Clinton

“Turnout is up 8 percent in counties that have finished counting their votes on the Republican side, but down 10 percent since 2008 among Democrats.”
