‘Waterboard Hillary!’ Man Yells – Rubio Laughs It Off

A Rubio fan in South Carolina suggests Hillary Clinton be tortured, and all Marco Rubio can do is laugh and worry about the press.

There are defining moments in every election. In 2008 John McCain famously stood up to one of his supporters who called then-Senator Barack Obama an “Arab” who is not an American, and the Arizona Senator corrected her. “No, ma’am. He’s a decent family man [and] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues and that’s what this campaign’s all about,” McCain, earning the title of statesman that day, told her.

Last year at a Donald Trump rally a supporter stood up and called President Obama a “Muslim,” and again, said he was not an American. Trump did not divorce him of that false belief.

“We have a problem in this country, it’s called Muslims. We know our current president is one,” the Trump supporter said.

“Right,” Trump responded.

“You know he’s not even an American,” the Trump supporter insisted, then asking when “we can get rid of” Muslims.

“We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things,” Trump responded. “A lot of people are saying that, a lot of people are saying bad things are happening out there.”

And now, today.

A man at a Marco Rubio rally yelled, “Waterboard Hillary!”

TIME magazine’s Zeke J Miller reports “Rubio responded with a chuckle, before seeking to extricate himself from the thorny situation.”

“I don’t want to know what he said — please don’t, because then — whatever — the press is here,” the GOP presidential hopeful said. “I didn’t even hear what they — I didn’t hear what they said. I know it wasn’t a bad word, that’s all that matters.”

Tweets from other reporters confirm the event.

Waterboarding is actually considered torture and is illegal.
