Watch Live Now: Hearing On Tennessee Bill That Would Void All Same-Sex Marriages

Lawmakers are now holding a hearing on a highly unconstitutional anti-gay bill.

Right now a Tennessee House subcommittee is holding a hearing on a bill that literally would declare “void” all marriages of same-sex couples. The Tennessee Natural Marriage Defense Act “states the policy of Tennessee to defend natural marriage between one man and one woman regardless of any court decision to the contrary.”

UPDATE:
Some background: The bill is being sponsored by Tennessee Republican state Representative Mark Pody, who claims God talks to him personally and told him to file the legislation.

As NCRM first reported, a state-required fiscal impact report found the legislation, should it become law, would cost the taxpayers of Tennessee $8.5 billion annually.
