Watch: Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Slaps Down NOM’s Brian Brown

Brian Brown gets a stern slap down on Fox News for his anarchistic suggestions that Roy Moore is right to ignore the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brian Brown took to Fox News Wednesday night to applaud State Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore‘s order reaffirming Alabama’s ban on same-sex marriage, despite a June 2015 ruling finding such bans unconstitutional. Moore ordered judges to not issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples Wednesday morning. The National Organization For Marriage president may have thought he was in friendly territory, but host Megyn Kelly was not impressed with his arguments.

In the beginning of the segment, Kelly introduced Brown and a Democratic strategist, who didn’t get a second to speak because Kelly spent the entire time arguing with Brown.

As Brown is explaining his unique understanding of judicial process and precedent to Kelly, her face grows stern. But even Kelly cannot hold back her indignation when the NOM president says, “it’s incumbent upon legislators, other elected officials, state government officials to not just kowtow to the court, or else we don’t have a democracy –”

“KOWTOW?,” Kelly interjects. “The Supreme Court has the final say in what the law is. That was established long ago in Marbury v. Madison.”

She then mocked Mike Huckabee’s position, which Brown shares, and worried that disregarding the Supreme Court will lead to “chaos.”

Brown claimed Kelly is “misreading” the Marbury decision, which cemented the court’s role as the interpreter of the Constitution.

Kelly repeatedly interrupts Brown throughout the segment, barely able to restrain herself in the face of his inanity.
