Top Trump Spokesperson Defends Her Own Racist Call For ‘Pure Breed’ Presidential Candidates

Highly controversial spokesperson who once wore necklace made of bullets on national TV lies about her support of Ted Cruz, has long history of racist tweets.

Donald Trump‘s national spokesperson Katrina Pierson, like her boss, has a lengthy history of controversial and racist comments, and also like her boss takes to Twitter to spew them.

On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday, Pierson was cornered about recent news exposing several of those tweets, including this one from 2012:

Stelter asked Pierson if she’d like to retract her racist remark. Pierson responded by suggesting it wasn’t racist because she herself is a “half-breed.”

“Look, these tweets,” Pierson told CNN host Brian Stelter, “I’m an activist, and I am a half-breed, I’m always getting called a half-breed, and on Twitter, when you’re fighting with Twitter and even establishment, you go back at them in the same silliness they’re giving you. So I myself am a half-breed.”

“You’re telling me that was just silliness?,” he asked.

“Absolutely,” she replied.

NCRM searched Twitter and could find only one tweet before yesterday, when the story of her “pure breeds” tweet broke, calling Pierson a “half-breed.”

Earlier in the interview Stelter asked Pierson about a tweet she posted on June 24 of last year:

Pierson admitted to having volunteered for the Cruz for President campaign, but lied to Steltzer about the tweet, claiming that she posted it “long before Donald Trump entered the race.” Trump launched his campaign, making his infamous comments about Mexicans being “rapists” from Trump Tower on June 16, 2015 – before Pierson posted that tweet.

Gawker notes that “Donald Trump, the man for whom she stumps, is the grandson of two German-born immigrants. Does that make him a quarter breed?”
