Other Protestors With Whistles Drive Trump Offstage
Tuesday night Donald Trump appeared on the stage of the University of Iowa Field House, before an already agitated crowd of about 1900 – he was an hour late – and before long, as usual, several protestors interrupted his speech. But this time not only was he heckled, one of them threw tomatoes at Trump, and got arrested for his actions.
Daily Iowan reporter Brent Griffiths, who was on hand, posted these tweets:
The Daily Iowan’s Chris Higgins today reports police “arrested 28-year-old Andrew Joseph Alemao for disorderly conduct after he was seen throwing two tomatoes at Donald Trump last night.” He was charged with disorderly conduct.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Alemao with his legal expenses. Currently 81 people have donated over $1500.

If that weren’t enough, Trump’s “appearance came to an abrupt end (Trump has been known to speak for over an hour) after another round of protesters sounded off on their whistles,” Griffiths reports.
Gawker is calling Alemao a “hero.”
UPDATE:
It appears the GoFundMe page has been taken down, likely as the company does not support fundraising for people who (allegedly) broke the law.
