J.K. Rowling Summons Up Perfect Response To Trump Official Lamenting Lack Of ‘Pure Breed’ Candidates
‘Harry Potter’ Author Pens Five-Word Tweet That Mocks, Decimates Top Trump Spokesperson
J.K. Rowling isn’t just a great international bestselling award winning beloved author, she’s a social justice activist who uses Twitter as a sword to slice through ignorance and hate.
As NCRM reported Sunday, Donald Trump’s national spokesperson is making news herself, after reporters went through her Twitter page to find she had posted several ugly, racist tweets.
Katrina Pierson appeared on CNN to defend herself and her racist tweet lamenting a lack of “pure breeds” during the 2012 race.
Perfect Obama’s dad born in Africa, Mitt Romney’s dad born in Mexico. Any pure breeds left? #CNNDebate
— Katrina Pierson (@KatrinaPierson) January 20, 2012
Pierson sloughed it off as “silliness,” but many others aren’t.
On Sunday, J.K. Rowling became of of those not taking the “pure breeds” tweet lying down, by posting this tweet:
Death Eaters walk among us. https://t.co/tqKq1anHpf
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 24, 2016
Death Eaters are among Rowling’s fictional creations, the wizards and witches led by Lord Voldemort who “seek to purify the Wizarding community by eliminating the Muggle-borns (wizards or witches born to non-magical parents) and half-bloods, which are created when a muggle and wizard or witch mate.”
The meaning of Rowling’s tweet is, perhaps, for you to decide.
