Meanwhile, the FBI and Oregon State Police have initiated a “containment” of the occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. They have told the remaining illegal occupiers to leave. Anyone attempting to enter the federal installation will be arrested, according to a joint statement.

“The sister-in-law of one of the people still in the refuge told The Oregonian/OregonLive that her relative wanted to leave the compound because several occupiers were preparing an aggressive stand against police,” OregonLive reports. Gary Hunt, one of the militia members inside the federal installation says the group has “decided they’re going to hold their ground.”
