The New York Daily News produced another iconic front page cover after the Cruz-Trump battle Thursday night at the GOP debate.
During the GOP debate Thursday night Ted Cruz unleashed an ugly attack on what he called “New York Values,” saying, “everyone understands that the values in New York City are socially liberal or pro-abortion or pro- gay-marriage, focus around money and the media.”

Not that there’s anything wrong with any of that, but it was meant to be a slur, an attack, to suggest that New York values are not America’s values. When you’re running as a far-right christian conservative extremist, it plays well to your base.
In response, The New York Daily News published yet another iconic front page, which reads, “DROP DEAD, TED.” It also shows the Statue of Liberty giving Cruz the finger, and adds, “Hey, Cruz: You don’t like N.Y. values? Go back to Canada!”

This is not the first time the News has slammed Cruz on its front page. Last year in March it labeled him and a cadre of fellow Republicans “Traitors.” He also appeared on these covers:
