Watch: Will Ferrell’s SNL George W. Bush Hilariously Announces ‘I’m Entering The Race For President’

Will Ferrell perfectly captures former President George W. Bush, asking America if the current slate of GOP candidates “makes you miss me, doesn’t it?”

Given the catastrophe the Republican field of presidential candidates has turned into, George W. Bush might be exactly what the party needs right now – or so Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush said on “Saturday Night Live.”

“This is an important day,” Ferrell’s “W” announced. “I’ve made a big decision. I’m entering the race for President of the United States of America.”

“The field of Republicans out there is so messed up,” he observed, “I figured, it makes you miss me doesn’t it?”

“Bush” walked viewers through a few of the current GOP candidates, from Ben Carson (“some kind of brain surgeon,”) to Carly Fiorina (“not qualified in any way to be president,”), to Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio (“Rubio and Cruz. Sounds like a Miami law firm,”) to Donald Trump (“knucklehead,”) and then even his own brother.

“You gotta admit it’s a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one.”
