Trevor Noah Takes Down Ben Carson: Even His Experts ‘Think He’s An Idiot’ (Video)

Did Ben Carson actually say maybe a Palestinian state could be “slipped into Egypt”?

Ben Carson is dropping in the polls as his strange beliefs and inability to grasp basic and vital concepts is becoming increasingly obvious.

Trevor Noah on Wednesday night announced that “the experts Ben Carson is surrounding himself with think he’s an idiot.”

Noah took Carson to task, both for his ridiculous lack of foreign policy understanding, and for how the Carson campaign tried to distance itself from a top Carson foreign policy advisor on terrorism and national security, who told the New York Times that Carson needed weekly briefings so “we can make him smart.”

“Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East,” former CIA officer Duane Clarridge had told the Times, which “The Daily Show” host was only too pleased to gleefully share.

Noah also quipped it’s “just obvious Ben Carson’s advisors can’t ‘make him smart.'”

“You can’t change his brain – that’s a job for a neurosurgeon.”

After playing a Fox News clip showing Carson unable to say who he would call first if he were president and ISIS had attacked Paris, Noah joked, “It’s ‘Ghostbusters,’ come on!”

“Everybody knows the right answer to that question! You could go to any African country and ask a little kid, ‘Who you gonna call?’ He’d be like, ‘Ghostbusters! And UNICEF, I’m hungry.'”

But perhaps the most shocking revelation came during a clip of MSNBC’s Chris Matthews laughing while explaining that Carson supports a Palestinian state but asked, “Does it need to be within the confines of Israeli territory? Is that necessary, or can you sort of slip that area down into Egypt?”

Noah called Carson’s lack of understanding of foreign policy “insane,” saying, “at this rate I wouldn’t be shocked to find out Carson thinks the Gaza Strip is a titty bar in Vegas.”

Carson had indeed distanced himself from his advisor, and Noah slammed the Carson campaign for its “dickish” way of distancing itself from Clarridge, by calling him “an elderly gentleman” and even denying he is a Carson advisor.

“He is not my advisor,” Carson says in a clip. “He is a person who has come in on a couple of our sessions to offer his opinions about what was going on.”

Noah responded, “So, an advisor?”

“You know, this guy isn’t my drug dealer, he’s just a man who comes to my apartment and shares his cocaine after I pay him,” Noah mocked.
