Trump: Report Your Neighbors To The Police (Video)

Donald Trump says Americans have “got to” report their neighbors to the police, because “there’s something going on in the mosques and other places.”

Speaking to a large crowd late Tuesday, Donald Trump urged his supporters to report their neighbors to the police. The GOP frontrunner warned his audience that “there’s something going on in the mosques and other places,” and that even though some Muslims “are such good people,” Americans “have to be smart, it’s coming from this area, there’s something going on, there’s some nastiness, there’s some meanness there.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with Obama, he wants to close his eyes and pretend it’s not happening,” Trump claimed. “There’s something we don’t know about,” the brash billionaire repeatedly accused.

Suggesting the local police departments are better resources than trying to figure out which federal agency to call, Trump told his audience they are all the “real greatest resource” because “you have all those eyes and you see what’s happening.”

“People move into a house a block down the road, you know who’s going in,” Trump explained. “You can see and you report them to the local police.”

“You’re pretty smart, right?” he continued. “We know if there’s something going on, report them. Most likely you’ll be wrong, but that’s OK.”

“That’s the best way. Everybody’s their own cop in a way. You’ve got to do it. You’ve got to do it.”

In recent weeks Trump has called for surveillance of mosques, the creation of a national database to track Muslims, and has called for the U.S. to refuse Syrian refugees. He has also promised to reintroduce waterboarding, which is not only illegal, a violation of international treaties, and is considered torture and a war crime, but has been deemed an ineffective interrogation technique and a recruiting tool for terrorists.
