Watch: SNL Perfectly Mocks Donald Trump And His Supporters With ‘Drunk Uncle’ As ‘Number One Fan’
The Best Parts Of Donald Trump On SNL Were The Parts Without Trump –Â
Donald Trump hosting Saturday Night Live got terrible reviews, but SNL’s political commentary at Trump’s expense was worth it.
Donald Trump hosted Saturday Night live last night. It was terrible. He was terrible. It was so bad, liberals and conservatives on social media both agreed, with some from both sides wondering if SNL made it bad on purpose to embarrass the GOP presidential candidate.
For weeks, Hispanic groups, activists, and allies begged, petitioned, and protested NBC, hoping to convince the network to not give the GOP frontrunner a national platform that, they feared, would only lend tacit approval to Trump’s racism and anti-immigrant beliefs.Â
It did not.
Whether intentional or divine intervention, Trump bombed.
Every skit he was in bombed.Â
It turns out, like his policies, Donald Trump isn’t believable, or funny. It just did not work.
In fact, the best parts of last night’s SNL were the parts without Trump.
Like “Weekend Update,” with “Drunk Uncle,” Donald Trump’s self-professed “number one supporter,” in the video above.
Clearly a full-frontal attack, rejection, and mockery of Trump’s racism, misogyny, anti-LGBT bigotry, and immigrant bashing, the skit featured “Drunk Uncle,” portrayed by Bobby Moynihan, singing Trump’s praises to co-anchor Colin Jost.
“It’s Trump time, baby!,” Drunk Uncle exclaimed. “Finally, Colin, someone is saying the things that I have been thinking, as well as saying.”
“I mean, it’s like, I’m running for president. You know, we have like a million things in common. We both love White Russians,” Drunk Uncle said, referring to Trump’s wife, and the cocktail.
After taking a swing at “these kids today” – an effective way to portray Trump supporters as older – and Obamacare – a dig at Trump’s Tea Party supporters – and “gender neutral” Apple watches, Drunk Uncle yelled, “Her name is Bruce!,” a clear attack on Caitlyn Jenner and LGBT people.
“I don’t just like him, Colin,” Drunk Uncle told Jost of Trump. “I love him. He’s going to make America grapes again!”

“I mean, he’s got it all, Colin. He’s got everything. He’s got money-women-TV-shows-Plaza-Miss-America-orange-hair. He’s perfect! He’s like a big old beautiful Monopoly man!”
Following that, a racist Ben Carson quip, an explosion about Hillary Clinton, and, a racist, “Yeah, I’m afraid of George Lopez” outburst.

“He’s my president, Colin, because he’s finally going to get rid of all the, every single one of them!,” to which Jost interrupted, “Don’t say it!”
“Crime, Colin. IÂ was going to say crime, Colin. Come on,” Drunk Uncle explained. “Crime perpetrated by immigrants!”
Maybe not all Donald Trump supporters are racist, anti-immigrant, misogynists who hate a diverse America, LGBT people, and think a bloviating bigoted billionaire is the perfect “fix” for what they see as what’s wrong with America, but really, just how far from the truth is that?
Some responses via Twitter:
Drunk Uncle just did the best rendition of what a Trump supporter actually is #SNL

How is it Trump fans don’t see that #SNL Drunk Uncle skit was a diss to Trump? #SNLTrump

Remember #Trump2016 people, Trump had veto power over the skits tonight. So that was him making fun of you in that Drunk Uncle skit.

Kind of surprised Trump’s campaign allowed the Drunk Uncle jokes. Basically just pointing out how ridiculous Trump’s supporters are.
