BREAKING: Planned Parenthood Gunman Captured Alive, In Custody

Minutes ago a man who allegedly shot five police officers and an unknown number of civilians in a Planned Parenthood has been taken alive by police.

An attack on Planned Parenthood that began at about 11:30 AM local time in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has just ended. Minutes ago the suspect, who reportedly shot at least five police officers and an unknown number of civilians, surrendered to police. A total of eleven injured people, including law enforcement officers, were taken to the hospital.

Lt. Catherine Buckley stated at a press conference the suspect was captured at 4:52 PM local time. She added she could not confirm if any fatalities – how many, or any. Police have not identified or confirmed the suspect’s name.

The standoff, which included several sessions of a shooting standoff with police, concluded after well over five hours.

123 law enforcement officers across local, county, state, and federal agencies were involved.

The suspect brought propane tanks with him into the Planned Parenthood building, along with a “long gun.”

Police had previously evacuated “numerous” people from Planned Parenthood.

While police say there is no longer an active shooter threat, there are many details that are either unknown or cannot yet be released.

Contrary to claims made by many on social media, the attack began at Planned Parenthood and appears to be an attack on the facility.
