Anonymous: That List Of Senators And Mayors That Have Ties To The KKK? Fake.

Anonymous is now denying a list of politicians published today is real.

Will the real Anonymous please step forward?

When you’re an underground collective of anonymous hactivists you run the risk of your name being used without your permission, or someone in your group to use it without authorization.

Today, it seems, that’s what happened.

Someone claiming to be Anonymous released a list of four Republican U.S. Senators and five mayors who supposedly have times to the KKK. Anonymous had announced it would release a list of about 1000 people with ties to the racist white supremacist hate group, but that was not supposed to be until November 5, Guy Fawkes Day, and the day of Anonymous’ Million Mask March.

“Anonymous denies it has any connection to the list of names, which was published Saturday on the website Pastebin. Most of the politicians included on the list—four Republican senators, four Democratic mayors and a Republican mayor—have denied the claims,” Newsweek just reported.

These tweets seem to refute the list of nine politicians:

The New Civil Rights Movement earlier today published that the list had been released, but unlike several other media outlets we did not publish the names, as we could in no way confirm them.
