Hillary Clinton was asked to weigh in on Kim Davis, and the Democratic frontrunner wasn’t shy about responding.
Speaking to an outdoor audience of mostly students, Hillary Clinton minutes ago was asked about Kim Davis. The Democratic frontrunner said since Davis refused to do her job and refused to resign, her arrest was appropriate.
“What would you do about somebody if they were to do something like Kim Davis did recently?,” asked one, according to ABC News’ Liz Kreutz.Â
“I think what happened to Kim Davis was the right thing. She violated the law, and therefore she was arrested,” Clinton responded.
“I actually think that she was treated as she should have been treated…. You either enforce the law or you resign..,” Clinton continued, according to NBC News’ Monica Alba.
Clinton was speaking at a community forum at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
