Democratic Candidates Respond To Video Of Police Officer Violently Dragging Student From Her Desk

Republican presidential candidates ignore attack on young teen girl.

Monday night Martin O’Malley happened to be a guest on “All In With Chris Hayes,” and the MSNBC host asked the Democratic presidential candidate to view the now infamous video of a police officer dragging a female student from her desk. O’Malley’s facial expressions alone tell a story, but here’s what he had to say.

“As a parent and as a father,” O’Malley says, apparently struggling to contain himself while finding the right words, “I would be ripped ballistic if somebody did that to my daughter. That’s pretty outrageous behavior.”

“That’s not appropriate behavior for any adult, to treat a kid,” he continued, noting that his oldest daughter is a teacher in Baltimore city schools.

And this afternoon, Hillary Clinton added her voice to those denouncing the attack:

As of this writing, we could find no response to the attack from Democratic candidate Lawrence Lessig or from any Republican presidential candidate.
