Ben Carson is now the GOP frontrunner nationally, according to one top pollster.
For the first time since New York Times/CBS pollsters have been measuring Donald Trump in the 2016 race for the GOP nomination for president, he is not number one. Ben Carson has taken the lead, by a four point margin against the brash billionaire, just one day before Wednesday’s Republican debate.
Dr. Carson now has 26 percent of the GOP vote, with Trump getting 22 percent. Carson recently pulled ahead of Trump in Iowa, according to at least four polls last week.
The rest of the Republican presidential candidates are trailing far behind the two who have zero political experience.
Marco Rubio takes 8 percent, Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina each take 7 percent.
Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and John Kasich each received just 4 percent of the voters’ support.
