Breaking: America Just Had Its Third School Shooting Of The Day

On the same day President Obama visited with the families of the victims of an Oregon school shooting last week, three more school shootings took place within hours, the third just now.

Details are just coming in, but sometime after 4:00 PM local time, there was a shooting at Pepper Tree Elementary school in Upland, California, in San Bernardino County.

The school was shut down around 4: 55 p.m, KABC reports.

All students and teachers are reportedly safe.

“Police haven’t given a description of the shooter except to say that she is an adult and the daughter of the victim,” the San Bernardino Sun reports.

The weapon may have been a pellet gun.

The victim reportedly is alive.

Early Friday morning a gunman shot and killed one person and wounded three others at Northern Arizona University. Police arrested 18-year-old freshman student Steven Jones for the shootings.

Early Friday afternoon police arrested two gunmen and are still searching for a third in a shooting at Texas Southern University in southeast Houston. An 18-year-old freshman college student is dead, and one other person is reported injured.

Friday morning’s shooting is the 46th school shooting this year. Friday afternoon’s is the 47th. Friday evening’s is the 48th.
