Watch: Kim Davis Tells ABC News What Hurts Her The Most Is Being Called ‘A Hypocrite Of A Christian’

ABC News talks with Kim Davis in this preview of an interview that will air Tuesday on “Good Morning America” and “The View.”

Kim Davis, in this short preview video, tells ABC News journalist Paula Faris that she’s been called “a homophobe” and “Hitler,” but she breaks down when she confesses what really hurt her.

“What people say about me does not define who I am. That’s everybody’s opinion and that’s everybody’s right,” Davis, the Rowan County, Kentucky clerk who refuses to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, says strongly.

“I’ve been called things and names that I didn’t even say when I was in the world,” Davis says, referring to the time nearly five years ago, before she became an Apostolic Christian. “Those names don’t hurt me,” she insists.

“What probably hurt me the worst is when someone tells me that my God does not love me or that my God is not happy with me, that I am a hypocrite of a Christian,” Davis says through tears.

Portions of the full ABC News interview will air on “Good Morning America” and “The View” Tuesday morning. NCRM will bring you the video as soon as it is available Tuesday.

Davis also has an interview scheduled with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that will air Wednesday night.
