Mike Huckabee: I Totally Had Nothing To Do With Playing ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ So Don’t Sue Me (Video)

Watch Mike Huckabee try to wiggle out of legal troubles created when Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” was played at a Kim Davis rally organized by… Mike Huckabee.

TMZ caught Mike Huckabee in an airport parking lot as he was about to get into his van. They asked the GOP presidential candidate why he chose Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” as Kim Davis‘ theme song, which was played as Davis marched onto the stage to address her supporters last week after she was released from jail. Survivor last week said they sent Davis a cease and desist letter, which likely went to Huckabee’s campaign as well.

Survivor frontman Frankie Sullivan was outraged upon learning his hit song, one of the most popular songs of all time, was used to support Davis.

I would not grant her the rights to use Charmin!,” he wrote on Facebook.

Huckabee several times has bragged that he had a team on the ground as soon as Davis was arrested, and that his team organized the rally, which attracted several hundred to 1000 fans of Davis, along with a few opponents of her position.

Huckabee also admitted last week that he had Ted Cruz blocked from appearing on stage.

So, aside from totally organizing and owning the rally, appearing on stage and introducing Davis, and using her as an email address magnet and tool for future fundraising opportunities, Mike Huckabee of course totally denies having anything to do with the copyright infringement Survivor is rightly claiming.

Because that’s what a man of character does, right? Take total advantage of people and intellectual property to make money, gain supporters, and keep his base happy, then deny any involvement when something goes wrong.

President Huckabee will be a great moral leader, to be sure.
