At Wednesday night’s GOP debate, Jeb Bush actually pretended the 9/11 attacks did not happen, Katrina did not happen, and other disasters did not happen, claiming his brother kept America “safe.”
Jeb Bush actually claimed that his brother, former President George W. Bush, kept America “safe” from terrorism – wholly ignoring the fact that the 9/11 attacks that took 3000 lives happened on George W. Bush’s watch.
No one, not the CNN moderators, not any other candidate, pushed back.
As one person on Twitter noted, the victims of Katrina also were not kept “safe.”
