Host Andy Samberg Puts Kim Davis Jokes Center Stage At The Emmys (Video)

“Intolerant” Kim Davis wasn’t at the Emmys, but host Andy Samberg had some fun at her expense in his monologue – along with “racist” Donald Trump and Paula Deen.

“Racism is over!,” Emmys host Andy Samberg announced halfway into his Sunday night monologue. “Don’t fact-check that,” he quickly warned. “Donald Trump is running for president to the delight of uncles everywhere, but I’ve gotta say, sure, Donald Trump seems racist… what else?”

The former long-time Saturday Night Live comedian, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” co-star, and The Lonely Island co-founder had a good time mocking Bernie Sanders as someone who “always looks like his flight is delayed. Guy’s a mess,” he quipped.

“Paula Deen is on this season’s ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ but I gotta say, if I wanted to see an intolerant lady dance, I would’ve gone to one of Kim Davis’ four weddings,” Samberg joked.

That comment drew applause and cheers from the audience, and will likely somehow appear as evidence of the “persecution of Christians” in a fundraising email from one of the anti-gay hate groups supporting Davis, the Rowan County clerk who continues to refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples – especially when Samberg followed up that joke with this one:

“It’s so ironic that she came out of jail to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ when you consider how many dudes have boned each other to that song.”
