Josh Duggar Blames Porn, Satan For Infidelity. Erases References To Porn, Satan. Internet Screams.

The only thing worse than blaming your cheating on pornography is deleting the reference to porn after you’ve already made the claim.

It’s been exactly 24 hours since the world learned that “family values” advocate, anti-gay activist, and “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar had two paid accounts on Ashley Madison, the dating website for married people who want to have affairs.

And it’s been about five hours since Josh Duggar posted an apology to his family’s official blog, in which he blamed pornography for him cheating on his wife. Oh, and Satan.

After about two hours from when the initial apology was posted, the post was taken down, edited and republished twice, with the references to pornography and Satan erased. Disappeared. Edited out. Magically removed.

The original statement actually included this line:

“The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our county, in my heart I had allowed Satan to build a fortress that no one knew about.”

The Satan reference was quickly removed and the statement was updated to read, “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.”

That reference to pornography was also quickly removed too.

Now, here is what the highly edited statement look like:

As NCRM reported earlier and many others have observed, the lack of active ownership of his behavior and actions was appalling. Also appalling is that Duggar barely made mentioned of any sorrow, any pain that he has once again put his wife through.

Understandably, people on social media went ballistic.
