Breaking: Hillary Clinton Will Hand Over Private Email Server And Thumb Drive To DOJ

Hillary Clinton has directed her team to give the Dept. of Justice her private email server and a thumb drive used when she was Secretary of State.

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton Tuesday evening directed her campaign staff to hand over a private email server and a thumb drive used when she was Secretary of State.

Clinton previously stated she would not do so, and maintains she never sent any emails that were classified at the time from that account.

The former U.S. Senator from New York “directed her team to give her email server that was used during her tenure as (Secretary of State) to the Department of Justice, as well as a thumb drive containing copies of her emails already provided to the State Department,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told CNN Tuesday evening. “She pledged to cooperate with the government’s security inquiry, and if there are more questions, we will continue to address them.”

Merrill added that Secretary Clinton’s team “has worked with the State Department to ensure her emails are stored in a safe and secure manner.”

Right wing websites were gibby about the development, with misleading headlines like “FBI Has Taken Possession of Thumb Drives Containing Hillary Clinton’s Emails, U.S. Official Says,” and, “FBI has Hillary Clinton emails from home server, official says.”

On Twitter, the outpouring from conservatives was equally caustic:
