If elected president, Bobby Jindal is promising to sign an unconstitutional executive order to protect “Christians” from same-sex marriage and gay people.
At the second-tier GOP debate Thursday night all seven low-performing candidates were asked what executive orders they would sign on their first day as president.
Bobby Jindal promised to sign an executive order “making sure the IRS is not going after conservative religious groups.” That would of course be unconstitutional, and easily in violation of the First Amendment.
“I would sign an executive order protecting religious liberty, our First Amendment rights, so Christian business owners and individuals don’t face discrimination for having a traditional view of marriage,” Jindal pledged.
Ignoring the fact that singling out or giving preference to any one religion is unconstitutional, the Louisiana governor promised  also to repeal the “unconstitutional” executive orders signed by President Obama on Obamacare and immigration, “to restore the rule of law.”

After lamenting that the First Amendment Defense Act, a broad and restrictive anti-gay “religious freedom” bill currently in Congress would likely never become law under President Obama, Rick Santorum pledged to sign an executive order that would accomplish the same goals when he takes the Oval Office.
“If it’s not passed by then, which I suspect it won’t because the president will veto, I will institute an executive order to make sure that people are not being harassed and persecuted by the federal government for standing up for their religious beliefs,†Santorum vowed.
